MABC History

Michigan Avenue Baptist Church began as a mission church through First Baptist Church to the north side of Chickasha.  The church was establish in September 1908 under the name Second Baptist Church. 

Michigan Ave Baptist Church's original brick building was dedicated Jan 20, 1929 under the leadership of Rev H.E. Cook. Women of the church made and sold quilts to help pay for the new building. They also sold eggs, milk, & baked goods.
